I just got booked by the Mark and Brain Show to shoot their event. If anyone has been listening to them, they do a thing every year called 3 Strangers and a wedding. I guess they pick a couple to get married but they don't get to meet each other until the day of the wedding. Well we are photographing the wedding. It is at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, March 9th. This is pretty cool, should be tons of fun. Also listen on the radio they should be mentioning us. If you happen to hear our name (Ryan Cardone Photography) send us a comment, we would love to hear about it.

Look for my picture on the home page of jpgmag.com. I guess they liked it and thought it represented the theme "breakthrough" pretty well. Please help me win and vote on my pictures. Thanks so much.

This is me using my Nikonos-V underwater camera. This was a hard shoot because I had to paddle, stand up and hang five all while trying not to drop my camera. I didn't have the leash on it, so if I dropped it, it would be gone. I am going to make a little holster for it so I can put it on my waist. That should make things a lot easier.
Oceanside morning barrel.
Something about feet!!!

Here are a few photos from a recent photo shoot with the Ventura College swim team. This was a first for me. I have been surfing for ever and I thought that I could hold my breath for a pretty long time, well after a few minutes in the pool I realized that wasn't the case anymore. I definitely learned some things and I am excited to go back and shoot some more.

It wasn't the swell of the year but it was better than nothing. With great weather and nice waves it was a perfect day to shoot. Here are a few I liked. These are more artistic.
Sean Tully gets one on his new/old seventies board that he just picked up at a garage sale. Like the saying goes "someone’s junk is another persons treasure," something like that, you get the point.
Same wave a few snaps later...
This is Brett Robbins he has a brother named Cole, both are really cool kids. They are great surfers as well. I love to see groms who can surf but also have a great attitude.
This was earlier this winter but it kind of goes with the other pictures. I don't know this guys name (if anyone does please e-mail me) but he is a really good surfer. This was in Ventura, I really like this shot.
And... one sunset shot. It has been so beautiful lately I couldn't resist.
One last thing...here are my current posts on jpgmag.com please vote on them thanks. If you haven't been to that site yet, check it out, it is pretty cool. Also to all of you that have come from jpgmag.com, Hello, drop a comment and say hi.

With the much needed rain and no waves I haven't updated here in a while, Sorry. I have been working away in the Office. TidalStock.com is coming alone and we hope to launch the new site soon. We have been working out some software issues. We have a great catalog of images with some amazing photographers. I can't wait to be up and running with the new site. Looks like maybe some waves tomorrow and I hope to post some new surf photos. Here are a few from Mammoth just to post something to look at.
